The 2026 Chevy Colorado ZR2 is built to handle just about anything you can throw at it. With its aggressive styling, off-road capability, and rugged ZR2 design, this truck is equally at home on the trail or cruising around town.
For this Colorado ZR2, we performed a paint enhancement followed by our Level 3 Ceramic Coating Package, giving the truck a cleaner, glossier appearance along with comprehensive exterior protection.
Preparing the Colorado the Right Way
Before any polishing or ceramic coating could begin, the Colorado received a thorough two-stage decontamination wash. This process removes road film, iron contamination, and other bonded contaminants that a normal wash can leave behind.
Proper preparation is one of the most important parts of the ceramic coating process. Starting with a completely clean surface allows us to enhance the finish and gives the ceramic coating the best possible surface to bond to.
Enhancing the Factory Finish
Once the truck was properly cleaned and decontaminated, we performed a paint enhancement to improve the overall appearance of the factory paint.
This polishing process helps clean up minor imperfections while increasing gloss, clarity, and depth. The goal was to get the Colorado looking its best before locking in the finish with ceramic protection.
Our Level 3 Ceramic Coating Package
Our Level 3 Ceramic Coating Package goes far beyond simply applying a ceramic coating to the paint. The paint and exterior trim were ceramic coated to provide long-term protection against UV exposure, road grime, environmental contamination, and the elements.
With proper maintenance, the Level 3 package is designed to provide protection for up to nine years while also making the Colorado significantly easier to keep clean.
Complete Wheel and Brake Caliper Protection
As part of the Level 3 package, we removed all four wheels from the Colorado so they could be properly protected. Ceramic coating was applied to both the wheel faces and inner barrels, helping prevent brake dust, mud, and road grime from bonding as easily to the surfaces.
While the wheels were removed, we also ceramic coated the brake calipers. For a truck designed to see dirt and off-road conditions, having these difficult-to-clean areas protected makes future maintenance much easier.
Ceramic Coating for the Exterior Glass
Every exterior glass surface on the Colorado ZR2 was also ceramic coated as part of the Level 3 package. The coating creates a highly water-repellent surface that helps rain bead and roll away more easily while driving.
It also helps reduce how easily dirt, water spots, and environmental contamination stick to the glass, making routine cleaning much easier.
Easier Maintenance On and Off the Road
A truck like the Colorado ZR2 is meant to be driven, and ceramic coating makes keeping it clean much easier. The slick, hydrophobic surfaces make it more difficult for dirt, mud, road grime, and other contaminants to bond to the vehicle.
Water beads aggressively and releases from the surface, while regular maintenance washes require less effort to bring the truck back to a clean, glossy appearance.

After completing the paint enhancement and Level 3 Ceramic Coating Package, this 2026 Chevy Colorado ZR2 left our shop with improved gloss, greater clarity, and comprehensive exterior protection.
